The Neverending Minecraft House

Have you ever heard of the Winchester House? It is the mansion of Sarah Winchester, the widow of Oliver Winchester, the founder of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The Widow Winchester was sure that she was being haunted by the ghosts of native Americans who were killed by her husband's rifles. The only way that she could avoid the haunting, or so she was told by a ghost, was to continuously build on to her house. And continously build she did. The hammers and saws did not stop for thirty eight years.


A never ending house? Why, that's the perfect Minecraft project. Everything you see is 100 percent legitimate. No cheats or hacks will be used.

This is my spawn point. I have already dug out a little sand to get the house started. At this point, it is about a week before the adventure update. I decided I was going to play on peaceful until the 1.8 update comes out. There would be about a week or so to get a decent shelter built.

So here it is. The main entrance to the neverending house. It's as big as some people's entire Minecraft house. At this point, I have not built a chest yet. I have collected and built very efficiently, and everything still fits in my inventory.

This is the inside of the foyer. It is made of sandstone and wood planks. I used sandstone half steps to build two winding staircases to the next level. 


This seems safe enough, so I'm going to end this post. For the next post, the difficulty will be turned to normal. Bring on the creepers!
